We ate pizza for lunch in
Lucca today. It has big walls around the city. We got lost trying to
find the circular piaza. Eventually we found it but had to rush back
to the car so we didn't get a ticket.
This afternoon we came to
Florence and went for a wander. I love the bridge with the houses on
it. Originally they were all butchers shops but now they are all
glittering gold and silver smith's shops. It is the only bridge in
Florence that wasn't bombed in World War Two.
Then we got gilato. Yummm. And next admired the Duomo.
Next we bought the most expensive biscuit ever. We didn't ask how much it was, expecting it to be a few euro. But it was 6 euro!!! Ripped off!
We admired the views on the way back up the hill to our camp site.
